NEW LIFE CHRISTIAN ACADEMY opened its doors in the fall of 1978. The first classes were held in the Junior Chapel of New Life Tabernacle. The school began from the vision of pastor Rev. L. Charles Treadway and his commitment to offer a quality Christian education for the children and youth of New Life and committed Christians in the Beaumont area. After much searching, it was decided that the school would use the School of Tomorrow (formerly called Accelerated Christian Education) which has a strong biblical base in all subject areas. The school originally began with about 25 students its first year. The school did not advertise, except by word of mouth, and remained small, by design, during the ensuing years.

In 1986 the school facility was moved into the new 50,000 square foot Family Life Center, and has remained in that location since. This location boosts of a gymnasium equipped with regulation basketball or volleyball courts, excellent walking or running track on the upstairs balcony and both women’s and men’s workout and dressing rooms that includes hot tubs, steam room and showers. The facility also has a cafeteria and commercial grade kitchen. The classrooms, called Learning Centers, are well equipped to accommodate student needs.

New Life Christian Academy began with grades 2-12; however, the following year added kindergarten-1st Grade. Grades 2-12 use the School of Tomorrow Curriculum, of which the school has been well pleased with the results. In grades Pre K-4 through first grade the school uses Abeka Books curriculum which has also worked well for the students.
